El vapor de agua se elimina despu\u00e9s del enfriamiento mediante un condensador. El di\u00f3xido de carbono se mide mediante un detector de infrarrojos no dispersivo (NDIR), determinando as\u00ed el contenido total de carbono org\u00e1nico (COT) de la muestra. Del mismo modo, el carbono inorg\u00e1nico de la muestra se descompone en di\u00f3xido de carbono y agua utilizando un reactivo \u00e1cido. El vapor de agua se elimina despu\u00e9s del enfriamiento mediante un condensador, y el di\u00f3xido de carbono se mide utilizando un NDIR, determinando as\u00ed el contenido total de carbono inorg\u00e1nico (TIC) en la muestra.
