Introduction:
The Planar In-Situ Root Monitoring System is a multi-level planar imaging device for in-situ soil root monitoring. It captures lateral cross-sectional images of soil and roots to observe the growth status of living roots within the soil, providing high-resolution images for detailed root structure analysis.
Using specialized in-situ root analysis software, it rapidly calculates root morphology parameters including root length, root surface area, root volume, average root diameter, and root tip count.
This instrument overcomes the limitations of rotating root monitors by enabling continuous measurement of root growth across an entire planar section, making it more practical for root research.
